The government of Yer Bouti has sponsored a resolution at the UIN calling for an immediate ceasefire by all sides in the Booger Mesa region of Mahishmati.

The YB foreign Minister is flying to Mahishmati City tonight and then later to the Eurasian Empire in an attempt to seek a diplomatic solution.

In YB warning orders have gone out to the quick reaction force to deploy monitors to the area if a ceasefire can be agreed by all sides.

The ROD would welcome a formal cease fire with the Eurasian Empire, monitored by peacekeepers from Yer Bouti and the PROG.

Both the ROD and the Empire are in agreement that the disputed zone be formally recognized as Mahishmati territory and that the Empire will not lay claim to any land there, to include access to the sea. both are also in agreement that the demilitarized zone will be the formerly disputed region, and that the Empire will have free reign over their own land up tot he border.

The YB government will coordinate with all warring parties and the PROG.
The UIN has approved the formation of United Imagi-Nations Military Observer Group in Mahishmati and Eurasian (UiNMOGME).

The YB Army only has two small units accredited by the UIN for deployment.
Elements of the 55th Airborne Brigade (YBC) and the 72nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade (Skegness).

The 55th Airborne is preparing two assessment groups to depart by air within 12-18 hours.
A few G wagons, Land rovers and personal weapons will be taken.
This first group is just the planing, command and coms component.

Will call the PROG with regard to moving in more/heavier vehicles etc.

The plan is for one assessment group to approach from each side of the conflict to meet at the ceasefire line. Then if safe review the possibillaty of expanding out along the line in both directions (this will require a larger presence).
Once a ceasefire line is established a larger monitoring group would oversee the removal of larger weapons back 10km from either side of the line.

Early days but good to see a halt in the conflict.

PROG foreign minister, Mikhail Tikonov announced the immediate loading of an infantry division with attached vehicles for the war zone. They and their escort will sail within 24 hours and deploy alongside YB elements to create a buffer zone between the conflicting sides. It is estimated that transit will take 2-3 weeks depending upon passage being allowed via Suez. The UIN representative Marshal Sukorovski formally requested permission from the Egyptian delegation.

Many thanks to the PROG for stepping up to help supply a major contribution that will be required on the ground.

The YB Foreign Minister spent this morning in Mahishmati City in talks with both Mahishmati and ROD officials. In the afternoon he continued on to Eurasian, positive results came from both sets of meetings.
The YB FM said there is a genuine desire from all parties for a prolonged ceasefire.
He has recommended that the UIN proceed with the Military Observer Group in Mahishmati and Eurasian (UiNMOGME) as soon as possible.

The basic plan.
1, Everyone stops shooting.
2, The UIN will deploy along the line of contact.
3, A monitored and verified pull back of heavy weapons 10km from the line.
4,UIN brokered talks in a neutral location for a mutual agreed lasting and peaceful settlement.

A UIN chartered Air Yer Bouti cargo aircraft will depart in the early hours for the area.
The members of the assessment groups are all full time soldiers from the 55th Airborne and HQ YBC.
First lift includes six soft skin 4x4's and about 50 troops.

Two companies from the 72nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade have been stood to for movement later this week if the ceasefire holds.

Four large transports left Pyotrograd for the long journey to Egypt. Escorting the group were two WWII era Gnevny Class destroyers and a Kirov Class cruiser. Security services identified the ships as the cruiser Kaganovich and the destroyers Gromky and Steregushchy. All three ships had been reported as scrapped in 1960 by the PROG shipyard. They had evidently been pulled ashore and buildings thrown up over the hulls as evidenced by the damage to three structures near the harbor to allow the ships to be put in the water. Egyptian authorities are mulling denying passage to the warships.

The Balzac Republic has 3 Visby craft on patrol, taking pictures of the ships.

It appears that all parties are complying with the cease-fire agreement and pulling their forces out of the 10km demilitarized zone along the Mahishmati/Eurasian Empire border. ROD Air Force F-16Cs are patrolling to the west of the DMZ and they report seeing Imperial armored units withdrawing to the east. ROD commanders are, of course, sharing this information with the Yer Bouti and PROG peacekeepers.

All Mahishmati Army units have withdrawn to the west to the city of Amaahindra. The ROD 7th Armored Brigade has withdrawn to the west as well, heading toward Amaahindra and the ROD support area. All three ROD artillery battalions are still in place, several km outside of the DMZ.

The ROD 2nd Armored Brigade has withdrawn to the agreed upon DMZ boundary. They are in compliance with the cease fire agreement, but occupying fighting positions and assembly areas. They have topped off their fuel and ammo in the event that the cease fire fails. 5th Tank is north of the river, 11th Tank and 7th Mech are south of the river. The pontoon bridge built by Mahishmati combat engineers is still in place.

At home, the carrier Vengeance and the remnants of battle groups 5, 7, and 9 have arrived in the ROD. The number of damaged ships far exceeds the dry dock capacity in the ROD, so we are prioritizing the repair work. The carrier Vengeance went straight into dry dock at the DiSCO Yard (Dalmatian Ship Building Company), as did the cruiser Shepherd. The air wing (which is actually made up of surviving aircraft from carrier air wings 1, 3, and 5) landed at Naval Station Saint Catherine. Aircraft detachments (EA-6Bs and E-2Cs) will return to their parent squadrons. The remaining aircraft will temporarily be grouped into Provisional Air Wing 1. The individual squadrons and air wings will be rebuilt as replacement aircraft and pilots become available, but this will take some time to accomplish.

Pictured below are M60A3 tanks from 13th Tank Battalion (7th Armored Brigade) moving west past a platoon of M109A6 howitzers from 18th Artillery Battalion.

The first UIN assessment groups are on the ground in Mahishmati.

Red group checks their kit after off loading at the airport following the long flight from Yer Bouti.

A big thanks to camastan for the uniforms.
The drive East to the ceasefire line will be slow and timed to arrive at the same time as the blue group from the Eurasia side.

A second aircraft has left Yer Bouti City with more personnel from the 55th Airborne Brigade and the first members of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, including a pioneer/engineer coy.

1. I do not know if CoC will provide Peacekeepers to France.
2. Not sure if the UIN soldiers are good looking or not, are the girls/ladies coming up to talk to them? Great paint job,
3. The mustache was really to be black paint for the camo on the vest, but he sneezed.

Nice work guys.
