Perhaps we should try and focus it a little this time like Donald does with the ships? Collate the results and perhaps limit the number of selections a bit?

If someone would like to do that, it's fine with me. I don't have the patience or interest. It doesn't seem to overwhelming at the moment and it isn't my place to restrict anyone's wishes. If nobody steps up, I will stick to the current format and start the thread.

Perhaps we could do both - one thread stays as it is, another to try and influence GHQ by focussing the list. I'd be happy to collate.

CG2, happy to turn the business over to you. I wrote long justifications to support my requests, but have no idea if it affected any outcome. Probably don't need to do it. I doubt we need two threads and my ego isn't tied into it at all. Let's go with your approach and I will step away. After all, I'm not giving up a pile of free stuff starting the thread. Your method may be most effective.

Happy to give it a try - if people don't like it or it doesn't work some other way, we can always go back to the current way.

You have my backing folks.
Anything which helps GHQ see that people are interested and openly asking for a new item must be a positive move.
Today is the last issue of the new releases from last years list.
You could not pick a better time to get on GHQ's radar.

How about the following rules?

- You can pick 5 items in each category.
- Categories are WW2, W47, Cold War/Vietnam and Ultra-Modern (all 1/285 scale - includes aircraft and 1/285 boats).
- You can also pick 1 new range (ie WW1).
- You can change your picks whenever you like, but if you pick new items then old ones are deleted.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I'm good with that. Are you going to start a new thread for this?

Time to start a new thread as soon as the new product list is published.

Final plug for Coyote TSV (6x6 Jackal) - with that and Jackal/Panther, could build a UK light cavalry regiment.

"Don't panic! Don't panic!" ( Lance Corporal Jones, Dad's Army). The new equipment list might not be out for some time. While I don't think a new thread is appropriate until that list is out, others may feel the time is now. In any case, I am sure the decisions for this year's New stuff have already been made - after all, it takes time to sculpt the masters, make the molds, and start production of the product.

Since CG2 is handling this, and the way he wants to do it is to limit us to five items, and you may change your items at any time, you can change anything that, by great fortune, comes out on the list for the coming production year.

It is likely that anything posted this year is better posted on the wish list for 2020-2021.

I will leave it to CG2 to start the thread when he is ready.

I'm happy to follow Panzergator's suggestion and open a new thread once the list comes out - as he says it's too late to influence this year anyway.

When CG2's thread opens, I encourage everyone to put in your suggestions as early as possible. This gives GHQ's decision makers the maximum time to consider the candidates for inclusion. I would think that suggestions made after December will not make the list, assuming lead times. I don't know how long it takes to prepare a model and produce the initial run. Most of us probably already know what we'd like to see, so let's please get hot on it.

Also, please read over CG2's concept of the operation for the list. If you disagree or have further suggestions, bring them up now.

Thnx,

PG
