The economic influx will no doubt cover any inconvenience that was caused over the weekend.
I do not know what the crew of a modernize WW2 beast like that would be!
I guess it would be about the same as every Karma Navy ship in the fleet plus the Amphib Marine Battalion coming in to party at once!
The KDF is impressed with the overall discipline of the ROD sailors. That so many made their way home in a new foreign port without assistance, considering the state they ended up in, shows great resilience and homing ability.
Several bars and hotels have had to put up "No beer left" signs this morning.

Yesterday the land border on the 49th Parallel to the South was closed by the New Canadian Government. Air and sea links remain suspended for now.
In the early hours today (03.30) the 71 and 72 Battalions from 7 OG moved the 20Km or so down the main highway to the 49th.
The police have the highway closed off to the public just South of the Nanaimo airport. The other 4 land crossing points are also blocked off to the public about 10 kms from the border. The KDF has declared a 10km wide area North of the border a prohibited Military Zone.

The New Canadian Goverment has ordered the Reopening of the Border with Karma-Naskis today after a misunderstanding over a CofC Training Excerise lead to the border being shut down out of self defence. The Goverment would like to Apologize for the inconvenience That Karma-Naskis has gone through.

The Fenris has a crew of about 1,800 dudes, including a small marine detachment and sometimes a DIS Tactical Team. And it's not so much that they are disciplined, but more that they have learned to keep a low profile. Plus we have a behavioral incentive tool called the Petty Officer Baton that we give out to the petty officers that get detailed to Shore Patrol duty when we are in port. It is Shore Patrol's job to make sure that the ROD sailors and Marines don't get out of hand, and they are authorized to use the baton when appropriate!

Tonight, since the Captain has had to issue apologies 2 nights in a row, he is upping the ante and issuing the Chief Petty Officer Baton! ll of the oldest, grumpiest, mean-natured CPOs will be on Shore Patrol duty tonight and they will all have batons!

The Fenris will depart tomorrow about mid morning, heading south to Victoria.

Some day trips have been arranged today for some of the Fenris crew.
A convoy of coaches is taking a couple of hundred across the Island to the wild West coast.
Tofino and other stops will be made. Others are heading to El Dorado River(Gold River) and a small town to the West of that is to see a visit by a few select senior Officers from the ROD Navy.

The morning Dash-8 flight from Komox to Vancouver that was delayed is now due to leave at 15.00. Other flights and ferry sailings should then resume.
All land crossings remain closed for now.
Engineers from 2 OG KDF are conducting some landscaping and tree pruning along the border. The main crossing point will re open tomorrow at 07.00 so long as there are no other strange maneuvers by the New Canadian Army.

No strange maneuvers by the New Canadian Armed forces I assure you, this was just a case of poor communication between the Nations taking part in a fleet exercise and New Canada. They should have warned us first.

That's what I call a road block!

The ROD wants to thank Karma Naskis for your hospitality during our visit. We really enjoyed the great people and beer of your wonderful country and we would like to make more port calls in the future.

The Fenris slips out of Komox harbor this morning with her hung over crew manning the rails and she heads south toward Victoria, New Canada.

The Fenris will be escorted by the Karma Navy with full pennants flying as far South East as the 49 Parallel.

The exchange of ideas and culture has been of great benefit to Karma-Naskis.
It is hopped that this may be the beginning of a more open and outward engaging policy by the Karma Government.
A beer and cannabis shortage has been reported is some parts of the capital.

The main Southern land border crossing has reopened. The KDF has pulled most of the 7 Operations Group back to the area around Nanaimo Airport.

A heightened state of surveillance remains along the lenght of the border.

Three smaller crossing points to the West remain closed for the time being.

Intel evaluators of CoC.
Reviewing the pictures and taken secretly. There are almost 100 tanks in one area, near one of the gates, currently closed. Internal reports show battalion of the ‘Heavy Armor’ at another gate.
The capability is highly offensive, Karmas has capacity.
Also has ability for sealift to the mainland.

karma-naskis has no such intent on expanding their borders, their forces are for defence of the small territory only. They made that clear to us awhile ago, they pose no threat to New Canada.

So you say....
Have you conducted a SWOT evaluation?
Your guard goes down which is the time to attack.

Have allies to help fight.
Pay spies very well.

No we have not done a SWOT evaluation on Karmanaskis, We only have the words of their government that they show no interest in expansion.

The KDF is getting smaller.
It has removed all BRDM's, BTR's and T-62's from service.
They are awaiting shipment out of the Country.
The New Canada Military can visit the site if they wish, it is to the S.E. of Alberni.

The site is an old disused airfield. It is soon to be the new home of the Army Air Group.
So all vehicles need to be moved shortly.

Will shipping be by the infamous 'MV Horton'?
That lot will fill up with all the surplus equipment. Hundreds of armored vehicles in the yard. Looks like getting ready to attack.
Push south, get'um.

Is it confirmed 7.62 that these disused vehicles are being shipped out the country?

Mech, Indeed, the KDF is getting smaller but more potent. We do not have the man-power to maintain an old cold war style Military any more.
The T-62's have been loaded today in Alberni, the ship will sail this evening.
General Malaize of the KDF is barking mad at the cuts in MBT numbers. He wanted to add 100 extra! Still he will follow the will of the Deference Ministry, for now.
The PM is out on the election trail, he is running on a promise to scrap all the tanks and buy 8x8 MGS from New Canada.
We will see how that pans out!

Chris, The MV Tim Horton is in Singapore. It's sister ship the Double double is taking the cargo. It was rented by Karma Kujalleq I believe.

The old airfield is now empty.

Construction is due to commence soon to make it usable for the Army Air Group.
