Abe - good job!

Hoth, - building walls are sandstone, roofs are mudstone and one roof is storm gray, all of which are Delta Ceramcoat craft colors. I usually use craft paints on terrain and scenery because it is more economical.

CavDog,

Do you hand paint or airbrush them. If you do the latter, what do you thin with.

Hoth - All of these buildings were hand painted. I have airbrushed craft paints in the past and since they are generally acrylics, plain old H2O works as a thinner although I suppose you could use any acrylic thinner. I'm told that the pigments in most craft paints are not as finely ground as in most hobby paints so they can be more difficult to airbrush, especially with smaller nozzles or lower pressures. A drop or two of retarder and flow improver do help as well.

Here are a couple of shots of GHQ models covering the beginning and the beginning of the end of World War II.

I had a little fun with some of the most recent releases from GHQ, the Opel Blitz with oil drums and with open beds. See if you can guess from what movie this scene was taken. If you're as old as I am, it should be easy!

Guess I'll reveal that I'm no spring chicken. Looks like the scene from "Battle of the Bulge" where Henry Fonda watches the Germans' empty fuel drums drop into the river and float away and he realizes the Germans have a serious fuel shortage problem.

Do I get a prize if I'm right?
