After a several hours drive from the port of Al-Bedia, the Canadian task force has reached the outskirts of Aleppo, and setup camp, scout platoons from the Princess Patrica's, 1st Hussars and the Sherbrooke Fusiliers are sent out into the city to recon to determine AL-Kababs capability, while flying overhead the CS-2 Tracker is gather photo and video recon of the area where the scouts are, looking for heavy weapon emplacements and AA guns.

At the M557 the Officers are planning on how to best engage AL-Kabab but they will wait for the recon reports to come back from the scouts. they radioed the Commanders onboard HMCS Canada on their progress.

Cyprus-dom
Cyprus AF Base is being use for most aircraft supporting the efforts to reduce or eliminate Al-Kabab in Syria, The strong hold is in Aleppo. The Canadians are taking the right flank of the advance into Aleppo. The CoC force is on the left flank. The Canadians have move much more quickly than the Commonwealth.
In the eastern Med, a DDH and Hospital ship is on station. Country of Tripoli-dom is just north of Israel for support bases as needed. Turkey is making inroads into Syria, certainly having lost part of their territory to Chickovia and Amenian-dom in the western area of Turkey. There is concern of clashes with Turkey as well.
. Convoy moving inland from the Med has been attacked. RPGs hit several armored cars. Two deaths and 7 wounded needing evacuation, 4 more treated on the scene. 4 that conducted the ambush bodies were recovered, 2 captured in the engagement. Of the drones that were airborne, they were miles away. One drone is missing which was to assist in the convoy advance. That should have been a clue, an alert should have been sent out notifying the lead elements of the lack of eyes in the sky. Coordination, planning are great, missed the 'mark' on control and communication.

The Canadians advanced element moved into the city leaving the CofC forces behind on the left flank.

(Canadian NCO on the Radio): " Stay out of our way you CofC losers, this is our mission, go take you counter insurgency operations somewhere else."

The Enlisted soldiers from the Princess Patrica's starts laughing at the CofC troops as they moved ahead supported by the 2 Armored regiments. one of the Leapord 2s crew opens the tanks hatch and flips the bird.

No I don't think so, not working together.
I can not see any money or fame in that!

Sorry to get your hopes up Redleg, but New Canada still has a hatred for the CofC, so any form of cooperation between the two country's is utterly mute.

The only way this operation will work is that the CofC Forces simply stays away from the Canadians and conducts their operations somewhere else. that is why the Canadians got to Aleppo first to hopefully prevent any fighting between the Canadians and the CofC.

The Canadians has ran across a large group of Al-Kabab militants and a exchange of gun fire ensues. The Patricas has formed a firing line using the rubble from the buildings and wrecked vehicles as cover. While the 1st Hussers attempt to flank the Militants from the right.
The Leapord 2 tanks from the Sherbrooke fusiliers provide fire support for the Patrica's light infantry as they are being pinned down by the militants gun fire.

The 1st Hussars caught the group of Al-Kabab militants on their flank and started to mow them down with 23mm cannon and Machine gun fire. The Al-Kabab militants start to flee, the patricas light infantry seeing this as an opportunity the whole regiment charged straight into the fleeing militants to route them and destory them. The Sherbrookes followed suite. in the end this large group of AL-Kabab militants where wiped out.

Afterwards the Partrica's loot the bodies looking for anything of value that they can get money off of. Among the bodies they found a copy of Sun Tzu's Art of War, but was chucked asside as garbage, but one of the militant bodies had somthing on him that send shivers down the spines of the New Canadian Forces deployed in Syria somthing that they dread will never wanted to face in battle. It was a old rusted scratched pin that reads...CSOR, Canadian Speical Operations Regiment.

The Canadian forces are fortunate al Kebab never read of Cannae or the Fetterman massacre, among other little, insignificant incidents of conflict.

This is a Critical Situation here in Syria, we are dealing with former special forces members amongst Al-Kabab militants. Extreme caution is advised to all troops.

Look at Canada using one element as a base of fire while the second element attacks from the flank! Well done!

Thanks Redleg but we got a serious problem now, mainly we discovered that elements of the Former Canadian Special Operations Regiment are active and working with AL-Kabab.

Syria,
As an infantry company takes position in a small village/town to help secure lines of communication. Drones are scouting the area looking out for any mortars, rocket launchers and artillery pieces. 300 trucks have been assembled for logistics effort outside the Port of Latakia. The supply corps does have material to move and the protection forces for proper and secure escort (it is hoped).
Infantry and armor battle groups move northeast. AH-1 flying overhead with feedback from drone camera, fed by the drone controllers - servers. The drone command and on Cyprus identify almost a dozen trucks moving, some armed with twin 23mm AA guns some armored vehicles 122 miles NE by east of Latakia approaching Aleppo. The Cobra is about 8 miles out from the village with Al Kabab.
As the AH-1 approaches the village, It is setting up a fire solution on an armor vehicle, a BMP-2. The launch occurs aimed by the gunner. The pilot behind the gunner sees a smoke contrail coming toward the Cobra, quickly recognizing the incoming SAM. He dives to towards a small depression area to try to save the Co..... BOOM. The AH-1 falls the ground without the tail attached. The cabin/front portion spin into the ground illing the gunner and seriously hurting the back and neck of the pilot.
11 minutes later a Predator, 3 AH-1 and 2 OH-6 and 2 Jolly Green Giants in the rescue. 2 A-4 are directed to the area with HE, and napalm. The OH-6 are keeping their distance. over the next 7 minutes, 3 more drones arrive in area to prosecute the SAM launcher. As the drones observe the area, the OH and AH copters enter in the area. A predator launches two several slavos of rockets and missiles at buildings and garages. Two SAM teams came out to fire their missiles. The first fired the SAM hitting a Cobra. Both teams died in a series of HE 70mm rockets fragmentation explosions.
Air mobile forces of the Commonwealth entered the area 10 minutes later. Ground forces about 20 minutes after that to inspect the area to gather intel. A fire fight ensued with 15 guys left in the area. The trucks and armored vehicles had moved about 4 miles away. 2 members of Al-Kabab were captured, killed 13. The CoC lost 2, had 7 wounded.
