Aleppo.
The security check point that has a pole horizontal with guards is fired upon by two RPGs, and half dozen 7.62 by 39mm rounds. BTR-40 flying Canadian flag flying comes around corner with men out the top. As soon as a Canadian soldier realizes the spoof to aim, he is cut down by two AKs firing at him. The BTR gets through the fence hitting the end of the pole which cracks. It smashes on of the gunners in the head. 50 yards closer 4 guys get out and 1 with RPG. Firing at the MPs building HQ door exploding unhinging the wooden doors.
The 4 rush the doors with bayonets fixed charging the HQ. A sniper shoots an attacker in the chest. A MP comes to the door, he receives the bayonet in the stomach Being disemboweled. The other MPs open fire killing him and two other attackers. One MP is shot in the shoulder. The RPG aims at guard tower, fires hitting an upright sending it crashing. Several automatic weapons opened on him riddling his body with bullets. Canadians have moved to security positions behind sandbags, at windows in the buildings. 12 other Al Kabab members had entered the compound, killing 5 and wounding 8 other Canadians. Of those 7 were killed during the exchange of gunfire. The 5 would are not approached fearing an IED or being shot remaining in their positions.

Damn those Militants, security will have to be stepped up at the MP building, the MPs will receive the new Textron TAPV vehicles for the best protection possible. They will talk to the locals to find out where the militants are hiding.

Meanwhile at Ras El Bast. The Royal 22nd Regiment has arrived to help launch the NC forces offensive aginest the Al-Kabab militants in Aleppo.

Aleppo, Syria
Citizens of Aleppo after hearing of the Canadian officer's comment to find were Kabab members are being hidden, at first 1, then 3 put a sign out: 'Hidding here', 'look here'. Later dozens, ... then hundred, hundres... they are hiding here, check here, they will be back tonight, etc.
. Al Kabab spokeman, De'shaun Raib announced, "the Canadians are welcome to get the new TAPV, our RPGs will still knock out the vehicle and kill the crew. Many Canadians will die. Recruiting in Aleppo has brought us many new fighters to fight the those 'Pot smoking' Canadians. We will kill those pot smokers every day, every night."
.
Commonwealth Army has brought in 400 combat medics and 350 combat corpsmen. This is in addition to the heavy contingent of those positions in the Grizzly units. Armored MRAPs are getting organized, reviewing maps and terrain on the east side of Aleppo.
.
8 rockets were fired into or near the airport of Aleppo. 3 were hit by Iron Dome missiles and 2 by Centurion AA. Two others hit outside the fence of the airport.

The MPs are surprised by this level of cooperation from the locals dispte being under martial law, but they are giving out really vague information as if they are hidding the militants themselves. The commander of the MPs will ask the locals again, but under intense scrutiny, in order to make these people give out a much more detailed information. And how dare did the militants call us pot smokers, sure we legalized it, but were not as liberal as Karmanaskis is, as the plant is under strict control.

Aleppo, Syria
Some mortar rounds have been fired from eastern Aleppo toward the airport. Action to prevent or reduce the number of rounds fired are to take place.
The CoC is on the move.... patrols with in body armor, backed up with MRAPs, and Oliphants moving in from the east, from the direction of the airport. Behind them are other MRAPs, carrying the Grizzly teams although some are on foot following the MRAPs. Drones were sent in the area 2 hours ago to assess the current situation. A few smaller drones looked into window, if open flew into buildings if no one seemed to be there. The patrol moving on the exterior for the most part some moving into the first room with dogs. Grizzly teams then move in just after that with dogs to sniff out people, drugs in some cases and any large explosives. They move upstairs when there is a 2nd and/or 3rd level. . In one building a person resisted the intrusion with an AK firing on the Grizzly squad. Hitting the body armor, he was dropped by 2 shotgun blasts. He was taken to receive medical care along with the Grizzly trooper. The resident seemed to have served in the Syrian Army a decade ago. He will be detained in the hospital tent with security then moved to a collection facility.
. The interpreters ask where the mortars are, who had fired them. Ask if anyone needs any medical assistance. Several people take advantage of the medical assistance. A few children needed serious helps. The families accompanied their family member to the medical station. They are fed and cared for.
.
Signs come out of the building to accompany the 'check here' signs. A few of these had 'we like pot', 'pot smoked here', 'we will buy some....' Karmanaskis military is not here in Syria hassling us.

Aleppo Syria
This is becoming frustrating for the Military Police, as the citizens are being uncooperative and hiding in the buildings, we promised them aid in exchange for information about AL-Kababs whereabouts, but they did not accept it, and the New Canadian Red Cross is running out of patience, something has to be done about it or it will put the mission in Aleppo in jeopardy. We ask again in good English, to come out so we get an exchange of information from the locals, besides where not trying to hassle them, where trying to prevent AL-Kabab from recruiting more people.

What were you expecting? It has been said many times, but I will say it again: you need to read. Look up Iraq, Vietnam, Northern Ireland, Chechnya, the Occupied Territories, etc. You will find that your expectations are not reasonable.

(I'll have to read about those conflicts.)

The MPs after seeing no response from the locals decides to leave them be, the New Canadian Red Cross are starting to pack up their equipment and medical aid and leave the city for good.

Action News, this is Shelia with WFOXY reporting that New Canada is leaving Aleppo. The NC Red Cross is also packing it in. Apparently the NC Red Cross is an extension of the military. They will only provide aid to people who help, who will talk proving information to the Canadian military.

CoC continue to search for mortars those firing the mortars. The patrols and Grizzly teams have search almost 180 houses having found only a few weapons. Observed some people running away staying 1-2 houses ahead of us. Questioning has provided some helpful info. We did retrieve a mortar base plate and tube, it was an 81mm, Russian manufactured.

The NC Red Cross is not an extension of the military, they just ran out of patience for the locals to show up to receive aid, the MPs they just call it quits. the actual New Canadian forces in Syria however are going to launch another offensive on the AL-Kabab militants.

Who / what are you going to launch an offensive against? The guys you are after have blended into the population of Aleppo remember? If you go into the city with a general assault you're going to cause even more damage to homes and businesses and that's not going to convince anyone to talk to you.

Yea your probably right. the NC assault has been halted for now, theres got to be a way to weed out the militants from the civilian population some how, we could send the MPs back in to try to clear things up with the locals.

Will assistance from the newly arrived NC forces the Military Police returns to the city, in order to convince the people to get out of hiding and talk to us. But since the NC Red Cross is not here anymore, Supply of aid is non existent,

"Aleppo citizens, Al-Kabab has become a very serious problem to our forces here, if you come out now and talk to us to exchance infomation, we will get the Red Cross workers back here and give you people the medical and food supplies you need."

aleppo
3 middle age women with young 20 something women and 2 middle aged me come out looking for the Canadian. Finding them, "we need help, we need food, the shooting that started over a decade ago has made it so tough to live. Tough to work, to get food, to clean and bathe. So we need your help."
"There is this Al Kabab guy that was living down stairs in our 3 story building, in the basement. He carries an AK rifle around. I see him leave and come back several hours later, sometimes with his rifle, sometimes no rifle."
"Please see to our kids medical needs, we need help, please. We need food, we dont get a thanksgiving or Christmas like you do. Please help, we help you with information."

(New Canadian Military Policeman): "Finally some cooperation from these locals, call in the NC Red Cross personal to send food and medical aid now." he asks the people to head to the Red cross tent at the FOB, the NC soldiers will escort them, then the MP, whispers to a nearest NC soldier "Keep an eye on them in case its an AL-Kabab Trap, this is too good to be true." the solider nods.
