There is no limit to what you can add in this thread. That is why we kept it, as well as the other one. You never can tell what might catch GHQ's fancy

My Wing In Ground Effect vehicle/Ekranoplan Wishlist for 2020-2021, though most of these GEVs never got put into military service, they can be used in a more Sci-Fi setting.

I think that most of the GEVs listed by Mech Commander, at least the larger ones, are more suitable for 1/2400 scale than 1/285 scale. Because of this, I am entering votes for them in the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List.

How about some Cold War infantry? Right now, there are lots of infantry to be done for the period of the mid to late 1960s through 1985.

1. Soviet Motor Rifle troops with the knee boots and less LBE for riding in the back of APCs and IFVs.
2. British
3. West Germans
4. East Germans
5. French
6. Americans in steel pots with ground mounted TOWs.
7. Israelis for 1967 and 1973.
8. Syrians and Egyptians for 1967 and 1973.
9. Jordanians in British type kit.
10. South Africans in Boonie hats.

Right now, this particular time period has been pretty much neglected in the GHQ line as far as infantry goes. Everything Modern is geared for 1990 and later except for the Vietnam line.
GHQ does make lots of nice vehicles for the Cold War era but there are still a few that could be done as well but the lack of infantry is noticeable.

I hate people dropping acronyms with no explanation.

What is a LBE please?

Load bearing equipment or as I used to call it webbing.
You know a place to hang a kidney to keep an extra set of putties!

If they hear that, they stamp your file "unsuitable for military service".

I'm sorry that you hate me for not spelling out the acronym, LBE, Madman. Yes, LBE stands for Load Bearing Equipment and is a U.S. Army term that I learned many years ago as per 7.62. I should not have assumed everyone here knows what these acronyms stand for.

LBE refers to not only the web gear but also packs and other individual equipment carried by soldiers in the field. All this equipment together can be both heavy and cumbersome.

So my question is this. Is anyone else on this thread interested in Cold War infantry?

If so, what types would you like to see?

Pete

I don't play cold war at the moment, but I might pick up a few packs of cold war infantry just for fun if they were available. I wouldn't be a big customer though - I tend to do more modern stuff.
