I was blazing through the website and noticed virtually all the combat command offerings are missing? Is GHQ no longer offering them? Looked like only the unique ones were still for sale (I.e. Karl morser battery etc). Just curious as to what Is going on...

just did a web search for ghqmodels combat commands and got some link results. All of them lead to page not found. also checked catalog and no listings as of today. The stryker combat command was one of the better ones. Only things missing were the specialty items.

Hey Hoth,

Looks like they put the Combat Commands in with the regular items. You can find the LCACs at http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/n159.html

Regards,

Paul

This may be an exception. I went through the entire modern US listings and the LCAC team is the only one listed. All others US, UK, German, French teams are gone.

Billb,

I found it, it was under modern US, amphibs. Thanks to you and Paul.

Speaking of Paul, Thanks to playing his huge games with large amounts of tanks. I have started being obsessed with building complete units. Sadly when I looked at GHQs Combat commands, alot of the support trucks are from earlier era's that I am not building yet. I want to buy combat commands.. they just don't have the right one. If they bring them back on the site, I hope they update some of them. Don't get rid of the old, but add more with newer support vehicles. maybe do away with box art label, put a more generic one and have print outs that can be added to the inside of the box as to what is in it. Then it makes it easier to be flexible on the combat commands and increase variety.

Hoth,

I agree about the combat teams needing an update. They were a good starting point.

Let's hope it is due to the website overhaul.

Related to the Combat Commands, I would like to see a better storage system. The bunker boxes are the right size, but I order foam and customize the interior storage system. They need another layer of foam - both thick and thin, so that they safely store the minis.

Another option could be partnering with one of the companies like Battlefoam to have full customizable cases - Iíve done that with my 28mm stuff.

I was hoping theyíd expand the combat commands, for instance they needed a German paratroop one just like the Horsa Glider set. In all fairness I did not buy many of them, probably like most folks, so perhaps the sales just arenít there for GHQ??

They were how I got started in GHQ; DAK and UK desert; Modern German and two Soviet ones. Iíve actually also painted the models for the Vietnam, WW2 German Recon, Stryker, and Horsa glider box art. I enjoy seeing my work on the shelf at the local shop. Laughing

Are there any pictures of the local shop?
A dream of mine would be to buy directly from GHQ. ^^
(Not online - anyone can do that)
Unfortunately, I have not won the lottery yet. Evil or Very Mad
