I have mentioned this before but during my 50th celebrations your uncle fireball had tinny bitsy too much to drink and face planted across the gaming table...
the loses were considerable, just on the japanese side the battleship yamato and the fleet carrier akagi were a total loss as well as minor damage to the Kaga and soryu and a couple of mogami class heavy cruisers.
Well i'm pleased to say that kaga just came out of the dry dock and is ready for action, i did away with the planes and had to repaint the deck.
I will be working next on the soryu if i find the damn island superstructure.!!!
In the future i will restrict my drinking to the living room.

This is before i knew that you can actually purchase carrier deck decals, would have saved me a lot of masking but now i'm painting on all my decks.
next Soryu...... minor repair and i'll post picks.

No, the smashed models went into the bin... just could not look at them anymore, especially Akagi ... she turned out a real beauty.
I will be doing the Shokaku class next which should be easier as they will not be done in the Midway scheme like Kaga, Akagi, Hiryu and Soryu.
With my next order i'll have to replace Akagi and also by some zeppelins for my ww1 german navy

Tragic indeed Mr. Guroburov i just thank god i didn't take out an eye or two on one of the masts.
Cama i used Tamiya fine masking tape for straight lines and i would punch out a whole in the masking tape for the circles.

I am impressed with how well the Tamiya tape holds the line. Very cool stuff.

yea its quit good but sometimes you have to tidy up with the deck color.
I use very little paint on the brush almost drybushing so as to avoid spillage but you have to give the lines a few coats
