The NCAF Department of Logistics, impressed by the efficiently of the ROD Armys Dog pound method of sending replacement infantry to their regiments, decides to reorganize their whole logistics handling system, by having regimental branches attached to each regiment in the Army.

This new system dubbed "The Sorting Room" method. How this works is the replacement solider when called will walk towards a Department Rep and be given a form that lists all of the regiments that needs replacements, once the person checks a regiment that he wants to join based on his training certificate, he will then be sent to the clerk who represents that regiment and be given a form that lists the positions that are available to fill, regardless of his enlisted rank, again based on the soldiers training certificate, once all that paperwork is signed and double checked, the solider is sent off on his way to that regiment, with his record archived by the Department for future reference.

WOW!!!
Moving along now. Let me see if I get this right?
So a Brigadier that came through the infantry, qualified on rifle, and machine gun might be placed as the SAW operator? Since it is 'regardless of rank'?
Efficiency at its finest I must say.
On the other hand, a PFC comes in with great qualifications as a trainer & leader. He now has a senior NCO spot.
Still efficient aren't we?

Only the Non-Officer ranks go through this sorting system.
The Commissioned Officers skips this process and be sent straight into the Command HQ, to where they will be organized by the rank they purchased.

ROFLMAO! The rank they PURCHASED! GEEZ! Can you say EIGHTEENTH CENTURY?!? Even the BRITS abolished that years ago. But it DOES explain a LOT about New Canada's army. Nobody has to worry about New Canada. It's army will die of EMBARRASSMENT soon enough!

I remember the purchases of commissions. 4 guys that came to the CoC in Mauritania campaign, purchased Flag ranks. It takes under 2 years to get the money back, excluding taxes. So buy up, the CoC financed those guys since NPV is extremely lucrative.

Purchase of commissions does not ensure competence in military leadership. You have only to read a little British military history to find that out.

I know, but its one of the few easy ways that you can become a officer in the NCAF.

Speaking of which, im trying to figure out how to keep the senior officers safe from enemy fire while in the front lines.

You have a warped idea of the profession of arms, don't you? I'll bet you never read the ORIGINAL Starship Troopers (by Robert Heinlein), and I don't mean that horrible movie or the book written from the screenplay. This is the one where the lecturer in OCS says to the students "Your life is not your own to expend in a suicidal reach for glory. Neither is it yours to preserve if the situation requires that you expend it.". That applies to ALL officers; junior, senior, and those in between.

How will you get your soldiers to do what must be done if you are cowering safely in a bunker somewhere safe. LEADERS MUST share the risks of the led.

I guess you are a product of today's society and you've gotten your ideas from tv and the movies.

There shouldn't be an EASY way to get a commission. It ought to as tough as possible.

It seems that most of the officers of the NC Army purchased their commissions!
To date I do not have evidence to the contrary.
Do you?
