GHQ has been selling our miniatures to the US military for use as training aids since shortly after we started doing business in 1967. It didn’t take long for the value of our models to be realized throughout the US military, and to spread to military units around the world. Over the years GHQ has supplied our miniatures to the militaries of the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and several others.

We regularly hear from instructors, and commanders, that our models are invaluable for vehicle recognition exercises, and for illustrating TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) in classroom sandtables, and in the field. They are also used for recreating historical engagements on a manageable scale to demonstrate things like some of the principles of the doctrine of Manuever Warfare. In fact, GHQ miniatures played a central role in one of the most famous military tutorial simulations of all-time: the Dunn Kempf game at Fort Leavenworth. Our founder, Gregory Scott, worked with Dunn and Kempf to put together a line of miniatures to support their simulation in the 1970’s. Dunn Kempf is still referred to by many as one of the most important classroom military training tools ever created.

We are often contacted by a military unit that is deploying quickly, and they tell us that they need the shipment ASAP. Military orders are always run to the top of the list. We understand the importance of getting them out rapidly because we have been told of their part in training soldiers for the complex environments that they will encounter. We take great pride in helping increase their level of preparedness, and have been told that the role of our miniatures in that preparedness has helped save lives.

Many of our customers tell us that they were initially introduced to our models while they were in the military at a training center, in the field, or with their National Guard unit. Those miniatures that the military uses, and were the first exposure to GHQ for many are the exact same miniatures that you can buy today and use in your games, and dioramas. Those GHQ miniatures that you first saw while you were in the military, at a hobby store, at a wargaming convention, or are seeing right here on our website have got a decades long relationship with the military, and as always are designed, cast, and packaged right here in the USA.

Everyone of us here at GHQ would like to thank all of the members of the military worldwide for their service, and for keeping our world safe!
